Botrytis:
A fungus, affecting grapes with gray rot (bad) or noble rot (See "noble rot"). The wines, produced with the help of noble rot are called "botrytized".

A special training method to tie up some branches (up to five), each with only two buds, in a goblet or another shape. Gobelet is used for Gamay (Beaujolais) in France.
Hybrid
Hybrids are grapes bred from more than one vine species. Hybrids have been made to combine in the progeny some of the best characteristics of their parents.
Noble rot
Known as "Pourriture Noble" in France, N. r. is a mould attacking the skin of grapes that they wither and thereby removing some of the juice. The result is a higher concentration of sugar for producing extremely sweet wines. The grapes may look disgusting but give very fine and long-living sweet wines.
